![]() ![]() ![]() That's part of what makes the installation a bit problemsome i.e., unless I plan a separate app folder straight off, I'm stuck with the files at a level where I don't want them (along with some clutter). Because the app is not installed and the help file is separate, the parts don't necessarily communicate with each other. I plan to migrate XYplorer to another computer,so i want how to view the fllowing. I brought the main help file up to the executable's level, but don't recall if I tried to get it then. Initially, the help files were not at the same level as the executable. I suppose it might be worth trying again and playing around with.Īs for the other points, I was in customize toolbars but didn't think to try to move them manually. As I sort of mentioned, it's not clear how the three options in Explorer++ for setting its relationship to Windows Explorer - no, partial and full replacement - interact with other file managers. I realized afterward that I had deleted the app without first looking back to the default file manager setting in XYplorer Explorer++ had apparently unchecked it and maybe if I had corrected that they could have cohabited in some way. That makes it a little harder to plan for at the start and then deal with later. I just downloaded the 64-bit version today and was expecting the install to go into the programs folder instead of just being four files that could land anywhere. even when downloaded, the Help file is not recognized by the app there was no way to change the vertical order in which the toolbars show to meet my needs (I want the icon bar down where it's easier to use) reset column widths did not hold between sessions So I wish can have an option 'delete current folder if it is empty after move up '. exe file is moved to another location from where initially put, even just a subfolder, no desktop folder/drive icons will open, including the Recycle Bin(!), and there's no way to get them back without copying ++ back where it was. Because many times after I 'move up' some files, its leaves a empty folder. To enable this feature you need to tweak the XYplorer.ini file. Now without ++, they all revert to Windows Explorer and so now I have to recreate them with XYplorer.Īlso in my brief use of ++, I noticed a few things worth passing along (and couldn't find in help): If Scroll Lock is ON then the Up and Down arrow keys scroll the list keeping the current item (the focused and selected item) in the same screen position. None of the options foresees that situation. But I ran into a problem: I have a bunch of folder icons on the desktop (Win 7/64) and Explorer++ took them all over, so that I could only open XYplorer directly. I had hoped to use it alongside XYplorer as an alternative to Windows Explorer, when the latter pops up by default (such as My Computer folder). ![]() After making a comment in the other thread about the importance of Dual Panes, I realized that Explorer++ could not cohabitate with XYplorer. ![]()
